Here's hoping you have a safe and pleasent Christmas everyone.
I'm stealing this one from Triple J's feature album but only because it's probably the best Hip-Hop collab albums I've heard this year.
The Black Keys, who are more renowned for their blues inspired sound have teamed up with Damon Dash and some of the largest names in Hip-Hop to create Blakrok. Employing the talents of RZA, Mos Def, Q-Tip and Raekwon, just to name a few, they have created a sound and album that breathes some fresh air into NYC best MC's. Only 11 tracks litter the album but that doesn't take anything away from the standouts, which are 'Ain't Nothing Like You' and 'What You Do To Me' which have the Ohio duo's trademark rifts soundtracked by some deathly smooth lyrics.
